Elly Doyle Award

The Friends of Accotink Creek were among the 2021 awardees of the Fairfax County Park Authority's Elly Doyle Service Award. Many thanks to everyone who has ever advocated at a meeting, removed invasive species, picked up trash, rescued a mussel, prevented trees from being cut down, educated children, monitored a stream - or all the other things that Friends of Accotink Creek does.

The awards were presented at an online ceremony November 19, 2021 
It was a two-for-one evening of awards for Friends of Accotink Creek. Also receiving an award were the elders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints who have provided an invaluable volunteer workforce for our onging Invasive Management Area project around the Lake Accotink Park marina.
