RE: Cinder Bed Road Bikeway

Please reconsider the Cinder Bed Road Bikeway.
  • It is wrong to intrude into streamside Resource Protection Areas while citizens are fined for doing so.
  • It is wrong to contribute to stormwater runoff while citizens are taxed millions for stream restoration.
  • It is wrong to imperil this globally rare wetland habitat that we should hold in trust for preservation.
  • It is wrong to forcibly take private property from the Amberleigh homeowners Association
  • It is wrong to commit taxpayer dollars (County or Federal, present or future) for this project when multiple on-street alternatives already exist.
Please preserve forests and wetlands by redirecting the Cinder Bed Road Bikeway to a route on existing streets and trails - without lighting in the woods.

Sincerely,

"Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people." - Franklin D. Roosevelt
