Three million tons of trash - what the Alice Ferguson Foundation has removed during annual Potomac Watershed Cleanups since 1989. We can't rest now - the litterbugs never rest!

Want to stop litter before it starts? Contact your Virginia legislators to support HOUSE BILL NO. 124 putting a 20-cent tax on disposable shopping bags. This makes the third year running similar bills have been tabled in committee without action, but let your legislators know anyway!

See how others contributed to last year's cleanup.

When you live underwater, no one can hear you SCREAM!
We must listen for those screams from the water and repeat them LOUDLY!

"...the nation behaves well if it treats the
natural resources as assets which it must
turn over to the next generation increased
and not impaired in value..."
- Theodore Roosevelt, 1919
