Evan Almighty -- A Must-See Green Movie
Opened June 2007

A funny movie about conflict between development and nature, its a "must see!" -- see video trailer below!
It's a hillarious exposition of run-away development, where certain "developer-friendly" congressmen are scheming to develop the National Parks.

Newly elected to Congress, Evan leaves Buffalo behind and shepherds his family to suburban northern Virginia where he moves into a development where all the land has been stripped of trees.

Evan is asked to co-sponsor a bill that would open National Parks to development, but does not realize what he is doing. His life gets turned upside-down when God (Morgan Freeman) has a different plan and provides an answer to Evan's prayer to change the world. Only Evan does not realize his role is to save the animals and their wooded homes!

Without ruining the plot, the ark has become a visable icon for ill-conceived stormwater management, shoddy construction and laws being passed that disregard wildlife and nature.

Once you see it, E-mail me if this is a movie you will recommend to your Congressional Representative, City Council Member and County Supervisor.
